Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Food Service Team Lead to join our restaurant team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of our food preparation staff, ensuring that meals are prepared and served efficiently and to a high standard.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation staff to ensure efficient meal preparation and serving;
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain inventory levels;
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation procedures, and safety protocols;
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback and coaching as needed;
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation;
  • Hire and train new staff members;
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage;
  • Prepare food order summaries for the chef;
  • Establish work schedules and manage staff workload;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in food service management or a related field;
  • A secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent;
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills;
  • The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
  • Knowledge of culinary genres and menu planning;
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working on-site at our restaurant location. You must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
