Electrical Engineering Technologist - Power Distribution

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technologist to join our Distribution Design team in Regina, Saskatchewan. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing cost estimates and designs for underground and overhead electrical distribution projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop distribution infrastructure that meets project requirements and applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Develop project cost estimates and material lists, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, customers, and stakeholders to establish service requirements and provide design solutions.
  • Manage project progress, ensuring timely completion and meeting client requirements.
  • Travel and perform site visits as required, identifying potential safety or environmental concerns and initiating appropriate action.
Qualifications
  • Effective interpersonal skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively as a member of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to set priorities, organize work, and complete tasks within given timelines.
  • Focused on continuous improvement and providing quality services to customers.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
Education and Experience
  • Must possess an Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma (Electrical Preferred).
  • Experience in power distribution for utilities within North America would be an asset.
