Sierra Space is seeking a driven and talented simulation software engineering professional to join our innovative team.

The role involves supporting the development and testing of software simulations for various aerospace applications, contributing to the advancement of our capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the design, development, and testing of simulation software for aerospace applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop simulation solutions that meet project goals
  • Conduct software testing and debugging to ensure optimal performance and reliability of simulation tools
  • Compile and analyze simulation data, prepare technical reports, and present findings to the engineering team
  • Support the integration of simulation software with various hardware and software platforms
  • Document development processes, technical specifications, and user guides for simulation software
  • Participate in code and design reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university
  • Must have at least one academic term remaining after the completion of the internship
  • Students must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior undergraduate student or enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. Program
  • Strong skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
  • Strong organization skills and work ethic; detail oriented

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in engineering or a related discipline
  • Proficient in C++ and Python
  • Experience working in embedded software and/or Arduino
  • Experience with hardware/software integration
  • Design team experience
  • Exposure to requirements and verification processes
