Position Overview

The Technical Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in assisting the sales team with all technical aspects related to pre-sales activities, sales presentations, and enhancing customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support to the sales team for clients with over 1000 users. Establish and nurture relationships with key technical decision-makers to accurately assess customer needs and propose suitable solutions. Act as a subject matter expert and technical authority for the Sophos technology suite, conducting both virtual and in-person meetings, product demonstrations, and proof of concept sessions. Offer secondary sales engineering assistance to field sales teams for organizations with 1001+ users, including RFP management, backup support, POC staging, and onsite travel as required. Facilitate customer success initiatives to encourage cross-selling and portfolio growth within the existing Sophos customer base through activities such as health checks, threat assessments, and tabletop exercises. Collaborate with the Channel Sales team and partner network to generate leads through indirect sales efforts.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in a sales role engaging with decision-makers in large enterprises, demonstrating a solid track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Basic understanding of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services and Incident Response solutions. Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including protective measures for networks, cloud environments, and various operating systems. Excellent verbal communication skills for delivering compelling and informative product demonstrations. Proven ability to provide exceptional customer experiences and effectively communicate competitive advantages at both technical and business levels. Experience in selling through and alongside channel partners, thriving in a collaborative sales environment.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position is competitive and includes a base salary along with additional incentives such as bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package.
