Position Overview

The Technical Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in assisting the sales team with all technical aspects related to pre-sales activities, client interactions, and product awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support to the sales team for clients with over 1000 users. Establish strong relationships with key technical decision-makers to comprehend customer needs and suggest suitable solutions. Act as a subject matter expert and technical authority for the Sophos technology suite, conducting virtual and in-person meetings, product demonstrations, and proof of concept sessions with clients. Offer secondary sales engineering assistance for field sales teams targeting organizations with 1001+ users, including RFP management, backup support, proof of concept staging, and onsite travel as required. Assist in customer success initiatives to encourage cross-selling and portfolio growth within the existing Sophos customer base through activities such as health checks, threat assessments, and NIST evaluations. Collaborate with the Channel Sales team and partner network to generate opportunities through indirect engagement.

Qualifications

3-5 years of experience in a sales capacity, engaging with decision-makers in large enterprises, with a demonstrated history of meeting and surpassing sales targets. Fundamental understanding of Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services and Incident Response solutions. Basic technical knowledge of cybersecurity, including protective measures for networks, cloud environments, and various operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Mac OS. Excellent verbal communication skills for delivering compelling and informative product demonstrations. Proven ability to provide exceptional customer experiences and effectively communicate competitive advantages at both technical and business levels. Experience in selling through and with channel partners, thriving in a collaborative sales environment.

Compensation

In Canada, the base salary for this position ranges from $91,000 to $153,000. Additional compensation includes bonus eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package. A candidate's specific salary within this range will depend on various factors, including job-related skills, training, location, experience, relevant education, certifications, and other business needs.
