Signify Technology is a global leader in the biotechnology field, pioneering advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) across its group. As A Director of Artificial Intelligence, you will lead a team of AI/ML and software engineers in evaluating, developing, and deploying cutting-edge ML/AI methods for clinical trial design, analysis, and optimization.

About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional individual with expertise in deep neural networks, large language models (LLMs), and generative AI to spearhead our AI strategy. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and Implementing AI Solutions: Design, implement, and refine advanced AI/ML methods for processing, analyzing, modeling, integrating, and visualizing large-scale biomedical data (text, imaging, omics).
  • Knowledge Extraction and Integration: Utilize AI/ML for knowledge extraction from text and structured data, integrating it with other data types through multi-modal generative AI methods.
  • Collaboration and Leadership: Collaborate closely with clinical teams to discuss requirements, envision solutions, and integrate proposed AI/ML methods to enhance clinical trial design and execution.
  • Vendor Partnerships: Foster relationships with leading generative AI vendors, ensuring our products remain state-of-the-art.
  • Technical Expertise: Partner with developers, engineers, and MLOps to deliver AI/ML solutions to product teams.

Your Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • PhD or MSc in computer science, machine learning, computational biology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience developing methods in deep neural networks, LLMs, generative AI, or related topics.
  • Familiarity with the Biomedical Domain: Knowledge of clinical trials is a plus.
  • Proven Experience in AI for NLP and text analysis, including downstream NLP LLM use cases.
  • Demonstrated Leadership in data science teams and the ability to translate AI/ML solutions into practical applications.
