Sales Supervisor Job Description

At Sioux Lookout Home Hardware Building Centre, we are seeking a highly skilled Sales Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our sales team and ensuring excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assign sales workers to duties and oversee their performance
  • Hire and train or arrange for training of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to excel in their roles
  • Authorize payments by cheque and manage our inventory levels
  • Establish work schedules to ensure efficient operations
  • Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Organize and maintain inventory to ensure we have the right products in stock
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of workers to ensure seamless operations

Work Environment:

We offer a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, but we also prioritize attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Our ideal candidate will be able to work under pressure and maintain a high level of accuracy.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a retail environment
  • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and prioritize tasks effectively
