About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Field Staff to join our Restoration team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing general labour assistance in a dynamic team environment with the implementation of ecological restoration projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute general field work duties related to specific project/program areas.
  • Collect and input field data according to project scope.
  • Ensure quality control and assurance measures are followed at all steps of the work process.
  • Perform traffic control duties on project sites.
  • Operate appropriate machinery and equipment required to execute work duties.
  • Assist with the transportation of materials to and from sites as required.
  • Direct the public to project notice signage and provide contact information for additional information and inquiries.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings, including tailgate meetings, hazard identification, and emergency planning.
  • Assist with maintenance of equipment and vehicles, perform circle and other health and safety checks.
  • Maintain equipment (storage, organization, minor repairs).
Requirements
  • Minimum pursuing a post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field.
  • Valid Class G2 Driver's License.
  • Valid Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C Certification.
  • Familiar with basic equipment and power tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with tact and courtesy.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively identify problems in a timely manner.
  • Proficiency in MS Office for general office communications.
  • Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Act, related Regulations, and legislation.
  • Required to lift or carry objects that could weigh up to 45lbs.
