We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Sales Associate to join our team at Whitehorse Home Hardware Building Centre. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, working in a fast-paced retail environment, and driving sales growth.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently and as part of a team, and possess a strong understanding of customer needs. You will be expected to maintain a high level of product knowledge, provide accurate information to customers, and process transactions efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring customers have a positive shopping experience
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and other payment methods
  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, staying up-to-date on new products and services
  • Assist customers with product inquiries, demonstrations, and installations
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and meet customer needs
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of retail sales experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and achieving sales targets
