Job SummaryWe are seeking a talented Energy Systems Professional Lead to join our Ottawa office. As a key member of our Energy Systems Engineering Discipline, you will work alongside exceptional people to take on existing clients, develop new relationships, and deliver insightful solutions.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the growth of the Energy Systems Engineering team through external initiatives (business development and marketing) and internal initiatives (mentoring and peer review).
- Act as energy engineering discipline lead as part of multidisciplinary projects including: zero-carbon building design and deep-energy building retrofit projects.
- Lead and mentor junior energy engineering teams in building energy modelling (using IESve software) and in building energy/carbon conservation measure design.
- Perform peer review of building energy projects.
- Represent JLR and the Energy Systems Engineering Discipline in working with clients to guide, support, and develop project solutions that meet their—and our planet's—needs.
- A degree in mechanical engineering, sustainable and renewable energy engineering, electrical engineering, engineering physics, or architectural conservation and sustainability engineering.
- 10 – 30+ years of experience in energy systems, renewable energy systems, and consulting engineering.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
