Newterra is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager, Mechanical Design to oversee the mechanical designers and CAD drafters who work within matrixed multi-disciplinary project and product execution teams. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of technical resources, coordinating with cross-functional departments, and ensuring client specifications, budget, and compliance requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of mechanical designers and CAD drafters to deliver high-quality designs and technical drawings.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional departments to ensure effective project execution and product development.
  • Ensure client specifications, budget, and compliance requirements are met.
  • Develop and implement design standards and best practices.
  • Participate in technical discussions and decisions with project teams.
  • Responsible for performing duties in a safe manner and promoting safety to others in accordance with Newterra's safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • College or university graduate, in a technical field (preferably mechanical based) required, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience using SolidWorks, Inventor, or another 3D CAD program preferred.
  • Experience with wastewater or water treatment system design strongly preferred.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills.

Work Environment:

Generally, works in office environment.
