The role of a Total Wealth Planner at Scotiabank is to contribute to the overall success of the Total Wealth Planning, Client Solutions / Canadian Wealth Management in Canada. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial planning and wealth management, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services to high-net-worth clients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To champion a customer-focused culture and deepen client relationships through the delivery of personalized financial plans.
  • To provide in-depth, quality wealth planning advice for all life stages, including guidance through intergenerational wealth transfer processes.
  • To conduct full total wealth planning processes from discovery to plan presentation, facilitating the value proposition of trusted advice and customized solutions.
  • To increase breadth of client base by engaging new clients and completing plans for advisors not previously engaged.
  • To champion an integrated and organized approach to planning through collaboration with internal specialists, advocating for advisors to leverage the right planning resources for the right clients.
  • To build and manage relationships to drive collaboration and provide a seamless client experience, working effectively with external professional advisors to provide optimal service on complex planning matters.
  • To understand how Scotiabank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Key Requirements:

  • A university degree.
  • An accredited financial planning designation (CFP or CPA).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a high-net-worth financial planner.
  • A Life Insurance license.
  • The Canadian Securities Course.
  • Estate and/or tax courses.
