Job Summary

Canus Logistics Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation and Delivery: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, ensuring timely and safe delivery.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, oversee all aspects of vehicle condition, and perform preventive maintenance to ensure vehicle reliability.
  • Logistics and Coordination: Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations as needed, and receive and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, and ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes, and comply with all relevant regulations and laws.
Requirements
  • Education and Certifications: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but an AZ class license is necessary for this role.
  • Work Experience: Will train, but previous experience in a similar role is an asset.
  • Physical Demands: This role requires attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and working in a physically demanding environment.
  • Work Environment: Work Term: Permanent, Hours: 40 to 60 hours per week, Work Language: English.
