Job Title: Executive Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join our team at West Coast Grill Sooke. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory.
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to optimize kitchen efficiency.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menu items.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure exceptional service and quality.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or equivalent position.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in culinary arts an asset.
