Job Summary

Southern Health-Santé Sud seeks a highly skilled Financial Supervisor to lead the Accounts Payable department. This is a key role that requires exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and operational expertise.

About the Role

This position plans, organizes, and manages the day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable department. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards of service in fiscal, human, and material resource management. They will exercise initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, methods, and actions on unusual matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective strategies for financial management, procurement, and payment processing
  • Lead a team of professionals in the Accounts Payable department, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management
  • Maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Procurement, and Operations teams
  • Implement processes and procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations and policies
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial transactions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve financial performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, majoring in Accounting
  • 2 years of supervisory experience in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains software an asset
  • Demonstrated strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Able to build and maintain professional working relationships
  • Effective time management and prioritization skills

Working Conditions

  • Candidate must be willing to complete a satisfactory background check
  • All employees are required to be immunized as a condition of employment
  • A valid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance are required

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications
