About the Role

Rome Group is seeking a highly skilled Data Management Specialist to support our fundraising efforts and achieve operational efficiencies in gift processing, data management, and donor services.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Gift Processing and Data Management
  • Enter gift details accurately into our database, directly, via batch, and through import; add new donor records and update existing records as needed; de-duplicate constituents and relationship records; and create regular gift reports using our vendor systems.
Data Quality and Compliance
  • Maintain familiarity with requirements for gift processing, receipting, and reconciliation from a variety of internal and external sources, including IRS and Foundation Finance, as well as internal database requirements for storing required information.
  • Acknowledge tax receipts and documentations as required by IRS.
Donor Services and Communication
  • Work with fundraisers, event, and finance teams as necessary to clarify donor intentions or any other questions related to contributions.
  • Provide exceptional customer service in responding to donor inquiries regarding gift processing and answering questions about the organization.
Database Maintenance and Audits
  • Develop, implement, and maintain database audits to ensure compliance with gift coding protocols.
  • Assist with database maintenance and ensuring quality in data practices.
Requirements
  1. Education
  • High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in data management, gift processing, or a related field
Supervisor Experience
  • No experience required
