Job Title: Home Support Worker

We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to join our team at Saminder Bhalesar. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide essential care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients, ensuring their dignity and comfort at all times.
  • Assist clients with bathing, dressing, and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals, taking into account clients' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for clients.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, engaging in activities that promote their physical and mental well-being.
  • Shop for food and household supplies, ensuring clients have access to essential items.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Work Environment:

Our clients live in non-smoking environments, and our Home Support Workers are expected to maintain a smoke-free workplace.

Language:

The primary language of work is English.

Work Schedule:

30 to 40 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate clients' needs.
