Job Description

The North Transportation seeks a detail-oriented Financial Operations Assistant to join our team. This role involves managing various financial records, preparing cheques for payroll, and maintaining general ledgers and financial statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Payroll Preparation: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Update and balance general ledgers, as well as maintain financial statements.
  • Journal Entries: Post journal entries accurately and efficiently.
  • Reports: Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required.
  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure accuracy and detect any discrepancies.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Skill Set: Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a team environment, and excellent time management skills.
Working Conditions
  • Overtime: Overtime may be required to meet deadlines and complete tasks efficiently.

Compensation

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $35,000 - $40,000, depending on location and experience.
