Job Description

This position is responsible for efficiently evaluating the working condition of, diagnosing, assembling/disassembling, ordering parts for, and repairing on-road equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with CAT, CUMMINS, and PACCAR engines, as well as electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems.

  • Evaluate the working condition of equipment and diagnose issues effectively.
  • Assemble/disassemble, order parts for, and repair on-road equipment.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Use related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
  • Accurately document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time taken.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Coach technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
  • Experience with CAT, CUMMINS, and PACCAR engines.
  • Experience with electrical diagnosis/troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems.
  • Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment.
  • Must be registered in the 310T trade.
  • Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
