Job Title: Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic

SKYLINE DIESEL TRUCK & TRAILER REPAIR LTD is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Heavy-Duty Equipment Mechanic to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on heavy-duty equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair, mechanical maintenance, and powered equipment repair.

Responsibilities:
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
Specializations:
  • Diesel engine repair specialization: Fuel injection system, Exhaust system, Cooling system, Lubrication system, Engine control system, Major internal engine repairs or overhaul
  • Powered equipment repair specialization: Compressors
  • Mechanical maintenance and repair specialization: Mechanical transmissions, Drive trains and final drives, Hydraulic transmissions, Power take-offs, Wheel-mounted vehicle suspension and steering, Highway vehicle tires and wheels, Differentials, Brake system
