A Best Builders & Excavating Ltd. is currently seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual who can work independently and as part of a team to maintain and repair heavy equipment on construction sites. The successful candidate will have experience with various types of heavy equipment, including loaders, excavators, and dump trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair heavy equipment in accordance with manufacturer instructions and safety protocols.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, and perform repairs as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with other technicians to achieve team goals and objectives.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with heavy equipment, preferably in a construction setting.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
Compensation and Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
