SOX Compliance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled SOX Compliance Manager to lead our SAP Security SOX compliance team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in SOX requirements, ITGC testing, and audit advisory roles.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the SAP Security SOX compliance team in managing ITGC testing and ensuring the design and operating effectiveness of controls.
- Coordinate SOX audit activities with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and third-party vendors.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive SOX compliance program, including risk assessments, control design, and testing.
- Provide training and coaching to the internal SOX Compliance team on SOX requirements and best practices.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across various IT teams to ensure the SOX program is executed in accordance with the SOX program.
- Evaluate deficiencies, identify root causes, and develop clear, concise, practical recommendations for remediation.
- Review and ensure IT controls documentation is in place, including risk-control matrices, narratives, flowcharts, and testing plans.
- Support new projects by identifying gaps, implementing controls, and assessing the design and operating effectiveness of controls.
- Collaborate with the SOX Financial team to manage SOX audits and provide necessary training on key audit requirements.
- Strong knowledge of SOX requirements and leading SOX programs or management testing engagements.
- Big 4 experience is an asset.
- Experience managing ITGC testing with a good understanding of SAP application controls.
- Experience working in an audit advisory role with publicly listed companies across different countries.
- Strong influencing skills: ability to present points of view effectively and gain support for their position, balancing technical and business considerations.
- Ability to identify risks and recommend cost-effective controls.
- Experience working with growing organizations with changing needs and multiple complex business transactions.
- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), Accounting and Auditing designations (CPA, CA, or equivalent), with at least 5-8 years of supervisory experience in accounting, integrated auditing, ITGCs and/or IT processes and reporting.
- Demonstrated and proven project management or coordination skills and experience leading and managing teams.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
- Demonstrated and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain positive interpersonal relationships.
