About the Role

Razan El-Salfiti is seeking a dedicated and caring Home Childcare Provider to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to children in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Education and Experience: A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required, and experience in childcare is an asset.
  • Work Setting: This is a live-in position, and optional accommodation is available at no charge. Please note that this is not a condition of employment.
  • Tasks:
    • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
    • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social development to promote their overall well-being.
    • Prepare and serve nutritious meals to support the children's dietary needs.
    • Supervise and care for children, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
    • Take children to and from school and to appointments, providing transportation and support.
    • Tend to the emotional well-being of children, providing a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Target Audience: This role is suitable for children of various ages, including school-age children (6-12 years), children over 12 years, and kindergarten-age children (4-5 years).
  • Security and Safety: A criminal record check is required for this position.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Razan El-Salfiti provides support for newcomers and refugees, including foreign credential recognition and diversity and cross-cultural training.
  • Support for Indigenous People: We offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers and provide cultural competency training to create a welcoming work environment.
  • Work Terms: This is a permanent position, and the work language is English. The work hours are 40 hours per week.
