Winter Maintenance Operator

We are seeking a skilled Winter Patroller to join our team at Miller Maintenance. As a Winter Patroller, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our transportation infrastructure during the winter season.
Responsibilities will include performing road maintenance activities on provincial highways, responding to emergency situations such as spills and accidents during inclement weather, and assisting in implementing an emergency plan. You will also be responsible for providing traffic control at accident scenes as per the contract requirements.
In addition to your technical skills, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders. You will also need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
Qualifications and Requirements- DZ license
- Experience in snow and ice control along with knowledge of OTM Book 7
- Knowledge of highway maintenance
- Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
- Ability to work assigned shifts, and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays) as winter events require
