About the Role

HF Sinclair is seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic/Millwright to join our team at Petro-Canada Lubricants Inc. in Mississauga, Ontario.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the reliability of our Lubricants Centre production by installing, servicing, and repairing various plant equipment. This includes rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, steam turbines, fans, and gearboxes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and repair rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, and gearboxes
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement preventative and predictive maintenance programs
  • Participate in failure analysis discussions and maintain equipment histories
  • Plan jobs, including assessment and selection of materials
  • Work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with all stakeholders

Requirements

  • Certificate of Qualification for Millwright required
  • Red Seal Certificate of Qualification preferred
  • Strong safety performance and analytical/troubleshooting skills
  • Good experience in operating shop equipment, including lathes and milling machines
  • Ability to repair equipment to OEM standards and work in a variety of environments

Working Conditions

  • Work in all temperatures and subject to varying weather conditions
  • May be exposed to dust, dirt, mud, water, and petroleum products
  • Work in high, precarious places up to 200ft and in industrial environments
