We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Economist to join our Healthcare Evaluative Research team at the Ontario Medical Association. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting research and analysis in the areas of health services research and/or health economics to support health policy evaluation and development.
Key Responsibilities- Conducting in-depth research and analysis using large healthcare administrative databases, survey datasets, and external data sources to address policy-relevant research questions;
- Preparing high-quality research papers, reports, and presentations to communicate findings to various stakeholders;
- Collaborating with other departments to evaluate existing datasets and identify information gaps that need to be filled;
- Developing and maintaining relationships with external partners to identify opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing;
- Staying up-to-date with the latest research methods and tools in health services research and health economics.
- PhD in Health Services Research, Economics, or a related field;
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in health services research or health economics;
- Expertise in statistical and economic software, including SAS, STATA, and related applications;
- Knowledge of Ontario's healthcare system, the Ontario Medical Association's role, and key data/information sources.
