About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Family Office team at KPMG Canada. As a Senior Manager, you will play a key role in delivering high-touch service to our multi-family office clients, acting as a financial quarterback to our clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily accounting/financial activities for multiple client entities, including strategic reporting and financial modeling.
  • Support the Family Office team in overall productivity and effectiveness of the practice.
  • Foster close working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Partners, senior leaders, and external service providers.
  • Act as a controller to clients, maintaining a consolidated view of their overall financial/investment picture and providing strategic advice on cash flow management, financial performance, and forecasting.
  • Coordinate accounting, bookkeeping, investment reporting activities, and oversee the finance/accounting/bookkeeping team's activities.
  • Prepare customized reporting, including financial modeling and Key Performance Indicator reports using Family Office technology and other tools.
  • Maintain client's document management system and related technology platform.
  • Coordinate financial activities with external/internal advisors, including bankers, accountants, and lawyers.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting.
  • 7+ years client-facing/relationship management experience with a focus on financial analysis, accounting, and bookkeeping or wealth strategy.
  • Prior audit, tax, financial controller experience is an asset.
  • Prior experience working with a Family Office or professional services organization in a similar role is an asset.
  • Ability to synthesize large quantities of complex data into meaningful insights for the client.
  • Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners.
  • Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools such as SQL, Access, etc.
  • Strong demonstrated use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal/facilitation and client relationship management skills.
