We are seeking an experienced Food Service Operations Manager to join our team at McDonald's Restaurants. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring that we deliver exceptional customer service and meet our high standards for food quality and safety.

Job Summary

The Food Service Operations Manager is responsible for managing the overall performance of the restaurant, including employee management, inventory control, cash handling, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This is a permanent position with an estimated salary of $53,333 per year, based on a 173.33 hour monthly schedule. You must have at least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role and be able to work under pressure with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficient service delivery and high-quality food products
  • Manage employee performance, provide coaching and training as needed, and conduct regular performance reviews
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, cash handling, and other financial transactions
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to drive sales and customer engagement
  • Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies, and ensure compliance with provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations
  • Address customer complaints or concerns, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field (Secondary (high) school graduation certificate accepted)
  • At least 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the food service industry
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven track record of success in employee management, inventory control, and cash handling
  • Familiarity with accounting software, electronic cash registers, and point-of-sale systems
