We're seeking an Engineering Student to join our team in the Ottawa District, within our Canadian Buildings Division. As a student at PCL, you will get the opportunity for challenging work assignments in a supportive work environment that promotes personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inspections and deficiency walks.
  • Coordinate and supervise sub-trade work.
  • Track site progress and deficiencies.
  • Verify site conditions, coordinate with drawings, and quality assurance reviews.
  • Coordinate, mark up, and update drawings.
  • Coordinate work-specific scope, trades, and tracking progress photos.
  • Conduct trade quote reviews by verifying material quantities, hours, and rates.
  • Input and update deficiency logs.
  • Perform quantity take-offs and participate in project meetings.
  • Produce as-built drawings and maintain record keeping.

Qualifications:

  • Working towards a degree or diploma in a civil engineering-related field.
  • A passion for working in a construction environment.
  • Experience with various computer software programs, including word processing, spreadsheet applications, and drafting.
  • Self-motivation with a hands-on approach.
  • Prior field construction experience is considered an asset.
