Job Summary

ALPA EQUIPMENT LTD is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use computerized and other testing equipment to detect faults and malfunctions in heavy equipment.
  • Diagnose and Repair Faults: Diagnose faults or malfunctions and adjust equipment as needed to ensure proper performance.
  • Perform Maintenance and Repairs: Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work on heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Verify and Repair Emission Control Systems: Verify and repair emission control systems to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Keep Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed on heavy equipment.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy equipment repair or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Skills: Welding experience, attention to detail, physically demanding work, ability to work in a team environment.
Work Environment

As a Heavy Equipment Field Mechanic, you will work outdoors in various locations, including dusty and noisy environments. You will be required to travel regularly and may be required to relocate for this position.
