We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Specialist to join our team at Sinai Health System. As a key member of our Quality and Compliance department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance and support to laboratory staff on quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Develop and implement quality management systems, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide training and education to laboratory staff on quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, reports, and records related to quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Requirements:
  • Graduate degree in a related field (e.g. health sciences, medical laboratory technology).
  • Current registration with the College of Medical Laboratory Technologists of Ontario (CMLTO).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality management role, preferably in a laboratory setting.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Assessor Certificate for Accreditation Canada Diagnostics (ACD) and/or College of American Pathologist (CAP) Assessor.
  • Experience as a QA auditor/inspector and/or ACD/CAP assessor.
