Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Shift Leader to join our team at FGF Brands. As a Production Shift Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of production crew members to ensure production schedules are met safely and on time. You will be working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment and will be required to lead by example and foster an environment of mutual respect and teamwork among team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of production crew members to ensure production schedules are met safely and on time.
  • Conduct pre-shift huddles and provide feedback to team members.
  • Responsible for leading team members in addition to production crew on one or more production lines.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and train team members.
  • Ensure production schedules are met and deal with problems that may occur.
  • Coordinate the various department schedules, products, and manpower to ensure that production in the plant runs smoothly.
  • Check to ensure that proper methods and procedures are being used and that quality, safety, and environmental standards are met.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and train team members as needed.
  • Ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times by enforcing company standards and regular inspections.
  • Assist in all testing of new equipment, methods, and products, as well as troubleshoot processes and equipment.
  • Utilize the OMS system to help achieve production targets.
  • Assist the Shift Leader in ensuring KPIs are met daily.
  • Follow and enforce all GMPs and safety procedures as outlined by FGF.
  • Act as a backup to the Shift Leader when necessary.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment (food/bakery experience is desirable).
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to interact with others.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills, along with simple mathematical abilities.
  • Ability to manage difficult people and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible to work days, afternoons, nights, and weekends if needed.
  • Working knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, and O.H.S.A.
