Software Development Manager, Amazon Ads

About the RoleWe are seeking a talented Software Development Manager to help us scale the delivery of advertising campaign recommendations to our advertising clients through API and UI-based solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a high-performing team of engineers, fostering a collaborative environment, conducting performance reviews, and promoting professional growth.
Key Responsibilities- Define and drive the technical vision and roadmap for our products and services, while collaborating with internal and cross-functional teams to align on requirements and priorities.
- Review architecture design and oversee software development of highly scalable systems.
- Communicate technical concepts, project status, and risk assessments to stakeholders at all levels, both technical and non-technical.
- Own the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and promote continuous innovation to enhance the security, performance, and scalability of our cloud-based solutions.
- 3+ years of engineering team management experience.
- 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience.
- 3+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
- 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience.
- Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and live site operations.
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
- Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior leadership to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy.
- Experience in recruiting, hiring, mentoring/coaching, and managing teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers.
