Job Title: Senior Principal - HVDC/Offshore Grids

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Principal – HVDC / Offshore Grids to reinforce our team working on Infrastructure in the context of deep integration of renewable energy sources, Energy and Balancing Market Integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the development of Technical Specifications on Large HVDC and complex Offshore Grid Projects, taking part in the early design and coordinating the Front-End Engineering and Design phase of such projects, overseeing procurement and tendering activities, and driving and stimulating the development of HVDC and Offshore solutions proposed by EGI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of Technical Specifications on Large HVDC and complex Offshore Grid Projects.
  • Take part in the early design and coordinate the Front-End Engineering and Design phase of such projects.
  • Oversee procurement and tendering activities and support the project Owners in various phases of their projects.
  • Drive and stimulate the development of HVDC and Offshore solutions proposed by EGI.
  • Lead a local team of subject matter experts based in North America and facilitate a smooth collaboration between the local and global organization.
  • Support in daily business, resource planning, sales and operations planning, recruitment, and management of consultants/contractors.
  • Ensure that all project activities are carried out according to policies, quality standards, and financial targets.
Requirements:
  • Be knowledgeable of the HVDC market in North America - years of professional experience in the HVDC field in leadership positions (Team Leader, Project Manager, Project Director, Chief Engineer, or similar).
  • Masters in Electrical Engineering or similar.
  • Managing large and complex projects in a global team of experienced professionals and experts.
  • Knowledge of strategy development, market & regulations, business transformation, offshore grid, interconnectors, digitalization, or other topics related to the energy transition.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory.
  • Mobility and flexibility, willing to travel up to % of the time for international assignments depending on the business development needs.
