About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist to join our team at Burnaby Hospital. As a Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in providing patient-centered care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality health services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide physiotherapy assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients, including developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional care team to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Participate in maintaining quality patient care by identifying referrals for physiotherapy services and facilitating referrals to appropriate health care/community programs.
  • Establish a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families/caregivers, advocating for their rights and promoting autonomy in decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress, treatment plans, and test/treatment results.
Requirements
  • Current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC).
  • Knowledge of physiotherapy theory and practice within a patient and family-centered model of care.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with patients, caregivers, and members of the interprofessional care team.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others, establishing workload priorities and adjusting to unexpected events.
