Job Summary:

Cineplex is seeking a skilled Bartender to join our team at The Rec Room. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and preparing a wide range of drinks and cocktails for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take and fill drink orders, garnish and serve drinks, collect payment and operate POS
  • Maintain a clean work area by cleaning up after guests, removing empty bottles and trash, replacing empty beer kegs and washing glasses and utensils
  • Monitor and maintain inventory by keeping track of wines, beers, liquors, and ordering bar supplies when required
  • Maintain a safe environment by checking guests' identification to ensure they meet the minimum drinking age, determining when a customer has had too much alcohol, and refusing service if necessary

Requirements:

  • High-School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of Bartending experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Completed Bartending classes preferred
  • Knowledge of drink recipes and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Provincially applicable sell, sale, and handling of alcohol certificate
