Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at David Aplin Recruiting. As a DevOps Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure rapid, high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Build CI/CD Pipelines: Develop and implement automated deployment processes, focusing on limited downtime and high availability.
  2. Automation Strategies: Implement automation frameworks and deployment tools to streamline workflows and enhance development velocity.
  3. Operational Support: Provide ongoing operational support, troubleshooting issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and performance.
  4. Infrastructure Design: Collaborate with engineering teams to design and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
  5. Monitoring and Logging: Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  6. DevOps Best Practices: Advocate and implement DevOps best practices, ensuring efficiency, security, and scalability across the pipeline and production environments.
  7. Collaboration: Partner with developers, QA, and IT operations to streamline workflows and enhance development velocity.
Required Qualifications:
  1. Experience: 6+ years of experience in a DevOps or infrastructure role, preferably in a consulting capacity.
  2. CI/CD Tools: Expertise in CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, CircleCI, Travis CI, etc.).
  3. Automation Frameworks: Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.).
  4. Cloud Platforms: Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  5. Scripting Skills: Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, or other relevant languages).
  6. Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog, etc.).
  7. Operational Support: Ability to provide operational support for production systems and troubleshoot critical infrastructure issues.
  8. Security Best Practices: Familiarity with security best practices in a cloud or hybrid environment.
