Job Title: Bookkeeper

Oyster Freight Services Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and general ledgers.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including GAAP and IFRS.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Process payroll, manage benefits, and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, optimize financial performance, and make recommendations for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, MS Excel, and MS Office. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
