Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Design Specialist to join our team. As an HVAC Design Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing custom HVAC equipment, working closely with our Technical Sales personnel to ensure customer requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop custom HVAC equipment, utilizing technical problem-solving skills to create a wide variety of equipment.
  • Create detailed design packages, including performance data, construction data, specifications, mechanical drawings, hydronic and refrigeration schematics, electrical schematics, and a detailed bill of materials.
  • Communicate with Technical Sales personnel to confirm customer requirements and provide guidance to other Designers in regards to HVAC Design.
  • Participate in the continuous improvement of design documentation and processes, and assist the Design Team Lead with peer review of equipment design.
  • Lead or assist with internal special projects as required, and manage daily tasks autonomously and in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Provide guidance to Production and Service employees in relation to troubleshooting of equipment.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in CAD software.
  • Mechanical, electrical, and control system knowledge.
  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical.
  • 3-5 years of experience in an HVAC design and manufacturing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
