Job Summary

As a Physiotherapist with Southern Health-Santé Sud, you will play a vital role in our multidisciplinary regional rehabilitation team. Reporting to the Client Services Manager - Rehabilitation Services, you will operate with a high degree of independence, working closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional rehabilitation services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of rehabilitation services, utilizing a client-centered, goal-oriented approach for children and adult populations.
  • Assess, intervene, consult, and educate clients and their families in various settings, including acute care, outpatient, long-term care, and community settings.
  • Provide clinical supervision and training for students and provisional members, and participate in the education of other healthcare professionals.
  • Exercise initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, methods, and actions on unusual matters.
Requirements
  • Masters or Baccalaureate Degree in Physiotherapy (BMR – PT) or equivalent entry-level requirement in Physiotherapy.
  • Active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba (CPM).
  • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Outlook/Email.
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated effective decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with management and staff within the region, as well as outside vendors and agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population.
  • Proficiency in both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job.
  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality, including paper, electronic formats, and other mediums.
  • Good work and attendance record.
Conditions of Employment
  • Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate.
  • All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Southern Health-Santé Sud policy.
  • Requires a valid driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00.
