Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Specialist to join our team at CAA Club Group. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled accounting professional to contribute to the success of our organization.

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing regular monthly and ad-hoc journal entries, assisting in the preparation of consolidated internal and external financial statements, reconciling complex balance sheet accounts, and investigating discrepancies.

You will also assist in reviewing significant variances from budget to actual, prepare and file quarterly P&C regulatory reporting requirements as necessary, and prepare quarterly reinsurance settlement statements.

Furthermore, you will perform monthly and ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support Finance Management and other departments, and support the annual and interim external audit and review process.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e. Accounting)
  • Pursuing CPA designation is considered an asset
  • 3-5 years of significant accounting experience, Financial reporting or regulator compliance experience within the P&C Insurance space
  • Knowledge of IFRS 17 and P&C regulatory reporting experience is an asset
  • Strong understanding of accounting systems and experience with SAP is an asset
