At Yaskawa, we are seeking an experienced Robot Manufacturing Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for ensuring the smooth production of our robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Adhere to strict safety and housekeeping standards, demonstrating a deep understanding of 5S practices.
  2. Maintain a safe working knowledge of electrical circuits (24V, 120V, 208V, 480V, 575V) to ensure the integrity of our products.
  3. Build, test, repair, and assemble electrical and mechanical sub-assembly components as required.
  4. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to meet or exceed quality, delivery, and productivity standards set by Yaskawa Motoman.
  5. Evaluate and report on Yaskawa Motoman standard components and special ordered parts for fitness of use.
  6. Promote teamwork and foster a positive work environment, interacting with coworkers in a manner that enhances employee satisfaction.
  7. Support co-workers and new team members with on-the-job training, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

  • Certified Electrical Technician or Technologist with corresponding diploma and 3-5 years of experience with automated system wiring and electrical panel assembly.
  • Proficient use of electrical and mechanical hand tools, as well as hand-operated power tools.
  • Able to read and understand basic electrical/electronic schematics and diagrams, applying technical skills effectively.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly lifts and/or moves up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifts and/or moves more than 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
  • Occasionally exposed to risk of electrical noise level and various hazardous materials.
