Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Chief Investment Operations Officer to join our team at J.P. Morgan. This is a senior leadership role that requires a deep understanding of investment operations, including fund accounting, investor services, and risk management.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of professionals who provide administration services to more than 150 clients across all alternative asset classes. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a Fund Accounting team and ensuring client deadlines are met and work executed in accordance with internal controls
  • Interpreting fund agreements to determine impact on fund set-ups, financial reporting requirements, and NAV reporting
  • Maintaining thorough knowledge of client base and industry standards (i.e., accounting, tax, and legal) to serve and communicate with clients effectively

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of accounting experience, preferably including Public Big 4 and partnership or hedge/private equity fund accounting. Strong knowledge of the hedge/PE Fund environments, including accounting for investor allocations, share classes, and complex investment and securities processing, is also required.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, preferably including Public Big 4 and partnership or hedge/private equity fund accounting
  • Thorough knowledge of the hedge/PE Fund environments, including accounting for investor allocations, share classes, and complex investment and securities processing
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance preferred

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $200,000 - $300,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
