Corporate Communications Director

We believe in democratizing communication and breaking down barriers to conversation. At TextNow, we're the largest provider of free phone service in the nation, and we're looking for a seasoned public relations and communications leader to drive our PR, social media, and influencer strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive PR and social media strategy to build awareness of our offering and improve our online presence.
  • Oversee earned and owned media efforts, including organic social media channels, influencer programs, content strategy, and PR.
  • Establish a consumer media and corporate communications strategy aligned with the company's priorities and business objectives.
  • Forge relationships with journalists and key influencers to increase our profile and drive positive sentiment.
  • Build and manage crisis communications strategy for the brand and oversee response to crisis situations.
  • Work with multiple stakeholders to uncover storytelling opportunities and creative content ideas.

Requirements:

  • 8-10 years of experience in public relations and communications at a senior level.
  • Strong media relationships and proven experience defining and implementing PR and influencer strategy.
  • Content marketing experience and strong writing skills.
  • Experience managing and increasing traffic to company blogs.
  • Experience with social media platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Previous experience in a managerial role within a Communications/Marketing team/function, preferably for a scale-up organization.
