About the Role

Tangerine is seeking a seasoned Communications professional to lead our External and Internal Communications strategy. As Director of Corporate Communications, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communications plan that drives the CEO's leadership profile, Tangerine's brand, culture, and strategic positioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a communications strategy that supports Tangerine's business objectives and enhances the company's reputation.
  • Lead the development of external and internal communications materials, including press releases, media kits, and employee communications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective communication of key messages.
  • Manage and maintain Tangerine's brand and reputation through proactive media relations, crisis communications, and issue management.
  • Develop and execute a stakeholder engagement strategy to build relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, customers, and employees.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance to the Office of the President on all communications-related issues.
  • Manage and oversee the Communications and ESG budget.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of professional communications experience with a proven track record of outstanding results.
  • Minimum 3 years of people and project management experience with direct reports.
  • University Degree/College Diploma or equivalent experience in Communications.
  • Solid understanding of communication theory and best practices.
  • Advanced writing, editing, and presentation skills.
  • A strategic understanding of channels in relation to internal and external communications needs.
  • The ability to deal with ambiguity and tight deadlines while working effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others.
