Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Banquet Server to join our team at EightSix Network. As a Banquet Server, you will play a vital role in creating memorable connections with our guests and team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve food and beverage items to guests in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Set up function rooms prior to guest arrival, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
  • Clear tables and return equipment to their respective areas, maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Gather all necessary equipment to service a function, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for guests.
  • Move tables and chairs as assigned, adapting to changing needs and situations.
  • Inform supervisors of any problems or complaints, providing prompt and effective solutions.
  • Properly handle all equipment, including props, glassware, and other items, ensuring proper storage and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Must possess outstanding guest service skills, a professional presentation, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must have a flexible schedule and be available for early morning starts and late-night finishes.
  • Must have Serving it Right certification and Food Safe Level 1 valid within 2 years.
  • Must be fluent in English, with a second language an asset.
  • Previous food and beverage experience in a high-volume establishment is required.
  • Must possess strong food, beverage, and wine knowledge.
  • A good physical condition is necessary, as this position requires constant walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. often.
