About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Design Manager to join our team at EllisDon. As a key member of our Design Build and Facility Services Team, you will be responsible for preparing conceptual mechanical design and energy efficiency solutions for DBFM projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the design and construction team to develop mechanical design and energy efficiency solutions.
  • Provide design-assist input from a facility cost of ownership perspective.
  • Apply innovative building systems technologies and services to cost-effective solutions.
  • Develop P3 infrastructure solutions from a Design Build and Service Provider perspective.
  • Manage the process to develop energy models, final reports, and RFP submission deliverables.
  • Coordinate scope of work between general, mechanical, and electrical trades.
  • Review mechanical trade pricing to ensure scope and methodology are appropriate.
  • Maintain networking relationships with Sub-Contractors, Architects, and M&E Consultants.
  • Lead the process, manage mechanical trade partners and consultants, and engage other needed resources.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of consulting engineering, construction, or facility operations experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of building-related systems and services.
  • Professional Engineer designation is an asset.
  • Solid knowledge of governing Codes and Standards for buildings.
  • Solid knowledge of energy management.
  • Strong project management skills for managing large development projects.
