Accounting Technician Job Description

Bistak Groceries Inc. o/a Latter House Glory Foods is seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our team. As an Accounting Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Assist with payroll processing, benefits administration, and other HR-related tasks.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
Work Environment:

The Accounting Technician will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work independently with minimal supervision.
