About the Role

Bear Cleaners & Supply is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, including offices, commercial buildings, and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs; operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse; empty trash cans and other waste containers; wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners, power sweepers, carpet cleaning machines, polishing machines, and waxing machines.
  • Security and Safety: Perform safety and security checks; work with minimal supervision.
  • Physical Demands: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies; clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: Will train.
  • Physical Abilities: Work under pressure; repetitive tasks; handling heavy loads; physically demanding; bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability; excellent oral communication; excellent written communication; organized; reliability.
