The Role

We are seeking a General Manager to join our team at Black's Pub, a premier destination in Whistler. As the General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, profitability, and guest satisfaction. You will guide a dedicated team, nurturing a positive work culture while driving performance and maintaining our reputation.

Responsibilities
  • Full sales and product knowledge
  • Schedule and manage a team, including recruitment, training, and development, coaching, and discipline management
  • Attend and contribute to regular operations meetings focused on profit and revenue, labor, and employee feedback
  • Daily inventory to ensure the business is set up for success for the following shift
  • Liquor license compliance
  • Champion internal feedback and hook-up programs
  • Marketing and event execution
  • Uphold Gibbons' Core Values
Requirements
  • Experience in hospitality is essential
  • Marketing/Sales background is an asset
  • Guest experience-focused, involving growing and supporting community connections
  • Administration and computer skills, including Microsoft products, POS, employee timekeeping programs
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Strong communication skills and ability to react calmly to challenging and stressful situations
  • Serving It Right certification
  • First Aid (or willing to acquire)

  • $65,000 - $80,000 annual salary based on experience and qualifications
